ESPALDAS MOJADAS is a 1955 classic film still relevant today in its portrayal of the difficult working conditions for Mexicans who decide to emigrate to the U.S. in search of the American dream. Fleeing from justice, Mexican worker Rafael Améndola (David Silva) crosses the Mexican-American border, helped by an American, who gives work to illegal migrants. Rafael lives in constant anxiety, unable to adapt to the American lifestyle and longing for his life in Mexico with nostalgia.
