Jesse Tate is a vivacious 13-year-old girl trying to cope with life, while keeping a family secret. Set in the world of a young teenager, Jesse seemingly does all the right things, attends church, gets good grades, and loves her family, yet things till seem to fall apart. She also struggles with being a part of the “in crowd” and her new feelings for boys. Secrets are revealed and truths become difficult to discern, but through her friends, her pastor, and her faith in God, she discovers the true meaning of forgiveness and learns what’s really important to her, as she navigates the tricky waters of growing up and becoming Jesse Tate.
