Synopsis by Maggie Sadler
In rural Ethiopia, childhood friends Solomon (Mikias Wolde) and Abdi (Ashenafi Nigusu) live a simple life, leaning on one another amidst the challenges of adolescence and poverty. Yet as Solomon flees to the city in search of his fortune, Abdi remains behind, honing his natural talent for distance running. Ten years later, Solomon struggles beneath the burden of substance abuse as Abdi relocates to Addis Ababa to continue his training in hopes of fulfilling his Olympic dreams. As the friends reunite once more, their loyalty to one another is put to the test. Directed by Jan Philipp Weyl.
