Synopsis by Ben Schultz

This documentary looks back at the experiences of actor/comedian Jim Carrey as he portrayed his idol Andy Kaufman in the 1999 film Man on the Moon. An in-depth interview with Carrey and previously unreleased behind-the-scenes footage reveal how his performance took on a life of its own. Directed by Chris Smith, the movie features appearances by Danny DeVito, Paul Giamatti, and filmmaker Milos Forman.
