Synopsis by Maggie Sadler
Incisive documentary filmmaker Jason Pollock partners with police investigators and the grieving Johnson family to analyze the 2013 murder of high school student Kendrick Johnson. After authorities uncovered Kendrick's body rolled into a gym mat in his high school gymnasium, detectives launched a search for the culprits while the teen's family questioned the motivations behind his death. Candid interviews and contemporary evidence piece together Johnson's final days, as well as the systemic racism that continues to lurk in American public schools.
