The Lover is a 1986 Israeli drama film, directed by Michal Bat-Adam. It is based on the novel of the same name by A. B. Yehoshua. Bat-Adam also starred in the film, alongside Yehoram Gaon, and wrote the screenplay in collaboration with Tzvika Kertzner.
