A large moose crashes through the roof of the garage of a young Max boy. This moose can talk and claims to work for Santa Claus! And though Max does not believe in Santa Claus, he welcomes this new friend. Max's parents are separated and he is really happy to have someone who listens to him. Soon, Max finds out that friendship brings certain risks with a moose because Max's grumpy neighbor Mr. Panneman has always wanted to shoot a moose.
