"Second Base" is the sequel to the award-winning, "Boys of Summer" (2006), which followed a father, Dan, who has Parkinson's Disease, and son, Robert, as they road-tripped 20,000 miles in two months to see a game at each of the 30 MLB stadiums. They met with several top Parkinson's leaders who felt the disease would be cured in 10 years.
That hasn't happened.
"Second Base" explores the changes in Dan's life ten years later as he bravely fights Parkinson's, becomes a grandfather and still loves baseball.
