Synopsis by Sandra Brennan
In this drama, a brave young man tries to save an abused coal-yard dog. It was his teacher who suggested he save the cur. Unfortunately, while climbing the fence to the yard, the youth is caught and accused of stealing. His teacher refuses to admit his part and even the poor boy's parents believe he is a thief. He is expelled from school and becomes involved with real criminals. He gets involved with a well-known fence and while at his apartment, meets a pretty orphan girl. The two are attracted and when he finds the fence trying to rape her, he intervenes. The girl flees and the fence is found murdered. Again the hapless youth is accused of the crime. Unfortunately, he cannot find the girl who could prove his innocence and he is imprisoned. The prison doctor believes him innocent and begins his own investigation. Sure enough he finds the real killer and coaxes the girl out of hiding. She then waits for the young man to serve a one-year sentence for robbery.
