Synopsis by Hans J. Wollstein
Prolific serial producer/director George B. Seitz essayed the leading role as well in Velvet Fingers, a 15-chapter Pathé serial highly reminiscent of the then very popular stage play Raffles, the Amateur Cracksman. Seitz played the title role, a gentlemanly jewel thief matching wits with a famed criminologist (Harry Semels). Marguerite Courtot added feminine appeal and kid actor Thomas Carr managed to rescue the lead from several perils. The then 13-year-old Carr later became a prolific B-Western director who worked well into the television era.
