Synopsis by Janiss Garza

France's World War I ace Captain Charles Nungesser -- also known as the "Flying Fiend" -- was no actor, but he certainly was bound to draw picturegoers in any film that featured his flying skills. He was cast as himself and put in this melodrama, based loosely on Jack Lait's The Great Air Mail Robbery. The villainous Gregg Vanesse (Lawford Davidson) cripples Nungesser's plane so that it wrecks and wounds him. To cover up his dirty deed, Vanesse puts the blame on Paul Willard (Walter Miller). Since Vanesse also wants Willard's sweetheart, Marie (Gladys Walton), getting Willard behind bars serves a dual purpose. Willard's parents and sister, Lucille (Jacqueline Logan), arrive in Paris. Nungesser falls in love with Lucille and comes to the realization that Paul is innocent. He gets Paul out of jail and then travels to America, where he proves that Vanesse was the guilty party. He also stops Vanesse from robbing the air mail in a daring mid-air capture.
