Synopsis by Eleanor Mannikka

Following up on the popular Europe at Night in which he assisted, director Luigi Vanzi takes that panorama of night life and expands it around the globe in this entertaining documentary. Everyone from the women at the Kiyokawa Geisha House to the Whales of Marineland get in on the act. Sequences are not dubbed and are as artistically diverse as possible, with the more serious-minded sketches ranging from the Chinese Opera Company in Hong Kong to Alfredo Alaria and his ballet. At the other end of the spectrum are the Queen Bee of Tokyo and the Las Vegas Rhythmettes, marching and dancing their way down the streets of that neon-lit city. With something for everyone and a non-stop pace, this is an upbeat, two-hour tour of the world's hot spots at night.
