Synopsis by Hal Erickson
Federico Fellini chose to film this elaborate biopic of the famous titular lover entirely within the walls of Rome's Cinecittà Studios. The director shot the picture in English, hardly a language in which he was fluent -- and cast an enthusiastic Donald Sutherland as the title character. Nino Rota penned the score. Most prints of this film bear the title Fellini's Casanova.
