Synopsis by Janiss Garza

Although Charles Ray is known for his portrayals of country boys today, like most other stars he went through a variety of types before finding the one that worked for him. In this comedy drama he plays Algy, the scion of a noble British family that has fallen on hard times. He sails to America, planning to marry a wealthy heiress. He meets one, Grace Dryker (Margaret Thompson), while on the steamship. The Dryker diamonds are stolen during the voyage, and Algy helps get them back. In New York Grace gets Algy a job at a broker's office, then has the broker invest the fifty thousand dollar reward for return of the jewels. As a result, Algy makes a fortune, and he is able to return to England and marry his real sweetheart, Patricia (Margery Wilson), while Grace marries the broker.
