Synopsis by Hal Erickson

African Holiday is a filmed record of a recent expedition into the Dark Continent by Mr. and Mrs. Harry C. Pearson. Though not as accomplished filmmakers as Martin and Osa Johnson, the Pearsons still manage to serve up quite a few intriguing glimpses of hitherto uncharted African territory. The film is at its best when concentrating on the Latuka tribe, whose members average seven feet in height. There's also a rather gruesome sequence depicting the ceremonial rites of the Masai tribe. African Holiday closes with some spectacular footages of the Mountains of the Moon, scenes that hold up so well on their own that Harry Pearson's narration seems superfluous.
