Synopsis by Hal Erickson

When Keystone comedian Hank Mann moved to the Fox studios, he took his favorite director, Charles Parrot, along with him. The second of the Mann-Parrott collaborations released by Fox was the lightning-paced two-reeler Chased Into Love. In this one, the basset-faced Mann is forced into a marriage of convenience by a wealthy uncle. Balking at the prospect, the hero drinks himself blotto, then undertakes innumerable stalling tactics to avoid taking out a marriage license. The film ends with a chase extending over a 50-mile distance, as Mann escapes his bride-to-be in order to catch up with the girl he really loves. Director Parrott later enjoyed a substantial starring career under the nom de guerre of Charley Chase.
