William Wyler's drama The Children's Hour comes to DVD with an anamorphic widescreen transfer that preserves the original theatrical aspect ratio of 1.66:1. The English soundtrack is rendered in Dolby Digital Mono. There are no supplemental materials of any consequence, making it difficult to recommend this MGM/UA release to anyone who is not already a fan of the film. Fans of Audrey Hepburn and Shirley MacLaine who have never seen the film may want to give the disc a look.
