Sullivan's Travels comes to dual-layered DVD with limited audio and picture options (full-screen standard picture in 1.33:1 aspect ratio; English-only Dolby 2.0 Mono with English subtitles; black-and-white picture only), but with a load of special features including an audio commentary by Kenneth Bowser, Noah Baumbach, Christopher Guest, and Michael McKean; a 76-minute PBS documentary called The Rise and Fall of an American Dreamer put together by Kenneth Bowser; a digitally enhanced transfer to DVD; production stills, storyboards, and blueprints; a publicity materials scrapbook; a collection of Sturges audio recordings; interviews with both Sturges and his widow; and the usual theatrical trailers.
