Michael Haneke's controversial psychological drama The Piano Teacher comes to DVD with a widescreen transfer that preserves the original theatrical aspect ratio of 1.85:1. The soundtrack is rendered in the original French, but English subtitles are accessible. Supplemental materials include an interview with lead actress Isabelle Huppert, and trailers. Kino has released the film to disc in two different packages, one "R" rated and the other unrated. This disc contains the "R" rated cut.
