Tom Lewis was the husband of actress Loretta Young for three decades. The founder of both Armed Forces Radio and the Motion Picture & Television Country Home in California, he funded the latter with the earnings from his enduring radio show The Screen Guild Theater. Lewis wrote the screenplay and produced the feature Cause for Alarm (1951) for his wife, and the two later teamed up to form Lewislor Films and produced the Loretta Young Show for television.
